Responsibilities

The Home Security Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting and supporting broadband technicians interacting with our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors customer alarms, triage and resolve issues as needed, escalate issues that are unable to be resolved upon first contact accordingly
  • Educates customers in the use of installed products; explains waivers, agreements, customer release forms, charges and billing procedures
  • Installs, tests and troubleshoots our primary alarm of Honeywell Inc, but becomes familiar with other panels as well
  • Provides quality customer service surrounding the Company values
  • Completes work orders and other documentation as needed and in alignment with task
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Qualified to obtain all necessary licenses required by the state in which he/she is installing and/or servicing AlticeUSA security services (if applicable)
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook email
  • Previous work experience in a fast paced, performance-measured environment while managing multiple functions required; experience focused in security, cable, telecommunications and/or equipment preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to use judgment & make independent decisions
  • Position requires focus on specialized tasks, engaging in customer communications and sitting for extended periods of time
  • Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and changes in shift depending on the needs of the business
