AVP, Network Security Architect

Job Description

Chubb seeks a Network Security Architect with 10+ years of experience in design and deployment of network security solutions in on-premise and public cloud environments.

The individual will possess a strong understanding of Palo Alto and Cisco solutions. The architect will be able to analyze security risks and issues, incorporate infrastructure and network requirements, develop appropriate architectures and patterns, and guide engineering resources on design, implementation, and policy development.

The position roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and document global architecture standards and for network security.
  • Analyze network diagrams and traffic patterns to understand current designs.
  • Oversee projects implementing security controls in the global Chubb network and cloud.
  • Incorporate automation and integration as a component of solution architecture.
  • Manage the technical execution of consultants working on network security projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to security engineers and the security operations team.
  • Establish role and responsibility matrices and work with teams to transition technologies to operations.

Qualifications

Technical Experience:

Expertise and direct support experience with several of the following technologies:

  • Strong understanding of network segmentation concepts, the Zero Trust security model and related security controls.
  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls including deployment and policy development.
  • Knowledgeable on routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA, switches and routers.
  • Working knowledge of switch ACLs, VRFs, and VDCs.
  • Background in security and risk management.
  • Experience with micro segmentation solutions such as NSX or illumio.
  • Knowledgeable on Cisco ACI.
  • Integration experience with Palo Alto Minemeld.
  • Experience with virtual firewall integration with NSX.
  • Experience with cloud providers such as Azure or GCP.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.

  • Ability to create detailed diagrams and documents for hand-off to engineering and ops teams.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into digestible diagrams and presentations for management.
