Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Act as a Security Champion of overall Clearing and Settlement department.
  • Develop, enhance, and fix programs for securing and enhancing Visa’s critical Clearing and Settlement systems.
  • Collaborate with CyberSecurity, Application Teams, PenTest Teams and technical staff to design and secure applications by appropriate solutions.
  • Monitor vulnerability and threat prevention systems.
  • Evaluate options and provide recommendation on scope and scale of effort required to develop solutions.
  • Participate and maintain the implementation of an effective Information Security Program.
  • Contribute during technical security engagements to ensure VISA’s compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Create design documents, code, unit/functional test, document and implement new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across disciplines to provide superior product support.
  • Support and deliver on resulting initiatives from the Business Plan and Technology strategy demonstrating re-use, eliminating duplicative components, architectural design, and use of innovative products.
  • Suggest and cultivate ideas on the extension of the current systems to new products and services.
  • Must be able to understand the positioning of a solution within the company and to build consensus to effectively gain buy-in from all participants.
  • Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards, processes, and systems.
  • Develop ways to automate compliance and security to improve the efficiency of the Team.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters,

MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work

experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

  • 2+ years in information security management, security event monitoring and remediation of

system/application vulnerabilities.

  • Experience with web application security, secure coding and best practices are required.
  • Experience with Patch and Vulnerability management solution (Qualys, TSR) are essential.
  • Experience in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Angular, NodeJS, Spring, MySQL, Linux and Linux standards,

rest API authentication.

  • Experience with tools like Checkmarx, Sonarcube, and Blackduck.
  • Experience with HSMs, Tokenization systems, data encryption solutions from Safenet, Luna client

etc.

  • Experience with Web Access Management solutions like Forgerock, Custom/in-house Security

Frameworks.

  • Working knowledge of SSL/TLS and handshaking.
  • Experience with Security Cryptographic protocols (Auth, data encryption, connection, application

operation over networks etc.

  • Experience with security assessments, penetration testing, fixing security attacks like CSRF, DOS by

loop, SQL Injections, administering Splunk Enterprise, firewall management.

  • Access Management
  • Good interpersonal, facilitation skills and Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability is a must, including the ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple competing priorities with minimal direction from

management. Should possess excellent planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to understand systems from all levels, from the “big picture” enterprise-level view to the low-

level technical view.

  • Ability to represent technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels internally and

externally to support strategic organizational plans.
