Enterprise Security Analyst Intern

Pekin Insurance is looking for summer internship support in our Enterprise Security department. This internship will assist with the oversight and development of aspects of Pekin Insurance’s Enterprise Security program including governance, risk, and compliance functions. Additional assistance as needed for the Records and Information Governance Program including reporting, training, administration, compliance, and monitoring.

What You’ll Do

• Keeps current with security industry standards and appropriate governmental regulations
• Assists with the maintenance of the Records Retention Schedule and related policy and procedures of all records on an enterprise wide basis
• Analyzes record-keeping processes and makes recommendations on effective compliance measurement and reporting
• Assists with governance, risk, and compliance activities such as third-party risk assessments, internal risk assessments, and general information security policies and standards
• Monitors Security Event tools and escalates issues for remediation
• Compiles security reports for various business partners
• Conducts and assists with the development of Security Awareness training material
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required

What You’ll Need

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Preferred Or Specialized

• Pursuing Bachelor’s in Information Security, Information Technology, or related field to information security assurance field
