Enterprise Data Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Data Architect that exhibits a passion for data and is ready to take on the challenge of realizing the Data Strategy and helping us to become a data-driven organization.

*This position can be located at any one of our Skyworks locations in the U.S.*

Essential Job Functions

• Implement and layout the enterprise blueprint for Azure cloud data services including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Delta Lakes, Databricks, Azure ML, Azure Data Factory and Power BI.
• Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving challenging and complex development and integration problems.
• Create, maintain and communicate Logical and Physical Data Models, Project Data Movement and Mapping Design Documents.
• Build High Level Azure Data Architecture for provisioning highly critical and low latency business needs in the leading-edge areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Stream Computing, MLOps.
• Lead Enterprise Data Architecture and related technical strategies providing thought leadership in the areas of data management, BI analytics, advanced analytics, master data management, data quality, transformations, enrichment and data integration
• Work with business leaders to define cross-functional data strategy and architecture aligned to business strategy and capabilities
• Create and maintain current, target state architecture and track maturity of data ecosystem capabilities along with standards/patterns for interfaces
• Facilitate data review forum with solution architects, data modelers and BSA’s to ensure compliance to standards (integration patterns, data management, historical data, CRUD) and review the data solutions and track technical debt
• Maintain inventory and roadmap of data assets across organization.

Qualifications

• Strong background in SDLC, distributed systems programming, solution pipeline build, data engineering technologies, API Integration, and Microservices
• At least 8 years in a professional technical position, such as Enterprise Data Architect, software engineer, Solutions Architect etc.
• Deep experience designing and developing data architecture solutions with more than 5+ years specializing in big data architecture or data analytics.
• Experience with database technologies required to support large volumes of streaming data
• Broad based architecture acumen: Database architecture, ETL, Micro services, Cloud, Cognitive, IOT, etc.
• Highly proficient with large data sets and clusters
• Ability to architect performant, resilient, and scalable database architectures.
• Experience working with Cloud Storage solutions such as AWS, GCP, Azure etc.
• Large enterprise experience inclusive of designing data systems and solutions for global (multi-geo) platforms.
• Deep knowledge of well-architected frameworks and experience designing platforms/systems for optimal performance, business continuity, compliance with security and privacy standards
• Experience & knowledge of semiconductor industry is desired
• Agile delivery experience along with the ability to articulate and document architectural decisions and roadmaps at a senior executive level is highly desirable
• Self-starter with high motivation and passion to learn, thrive, & adapt in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment

Education

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline required.
