Overview
Working as Full-Time IT Database Administrator, you will be responsible for data management across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Managing databases across an Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NOSQL Database technology stack
- Troubleshooting data replication and integrity across the enterprise
- Performing and tuning along with SQL & PL/SQL development
- Writing and maintaining technical support documentation for applications
- Adhering to security best practices, access control, and security policies
- Demonstrates day-to-day adherence with change control concepts and practices
- Providing 24×7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation
Required Position Qualifications
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Possess or working towards a degree in Information Technology, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science
OR possess 3 years of work experience in a Database administration/management position
- Demonstrate knowledge in scripting and performance tuning
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
- Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
Preferred Position Qualifications
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with scripting fundamentals
- Familiarity with Oracle Golden Gate
- Certification within Oracle Database
- Experience managing database technologies in an on-premise, as well as public and private cloud deployments (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.)
