Overview

Working as Full-Time IT Database Administrator, you will be responsible for data management across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Managing databases across an Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NOSQL Database technology stack
• Troubleshooting data replication and integrity across the enterprise
• Performing and tuning along with SQL & PL/SQL development
• Writing and maintaining technical support documentation for applications
• Adhering to security best practices, access control, and security policies
• Demonstrates day-to-day adherence with change control concepts and practices
• Providing 24×7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation

Required Position Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

• Possess or working towards a degree in Information Technology, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science

OR possess 3 years of work experience in a Database administration/management position

• Demonstrate knowledge in scripting and performance tuning
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment

• Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Preferred Position Qualifications

• Experience with Linux Operating Systems
• Experience with scripting fundamentals
• Familiarity with Oracle Golden Gate
• Certification within Oracle Database
• Experience managing database technologies in an on-premise, as well as public and private cloud deployments (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.)
