Unstructured Data Security Administrator – Varonis

AIG has an immediate opening for an individual with strong Windows Server, Active Directory, Database, and Middleware skills which are required to support the Information Security toolset, specifically unstructured data management (UDM) software. The role will be part of the Security Automation Team within the EMEA/US Information Security Office. The candidate will be involved in maintaining and administering unstructured data management software called Varonis. The primary responsibility of the role will be configuring, maintaining, administration and support of the UDM application to allow for the identification of sensitive data, establish ownership of all identified shares, and remediate open access and establish share access recertification throughout the enterprise. The ideal candidate is very technical with knowledge and experience in the areas of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, PowerShell, and related hardware/software. Project management, user training and technical writing experience will be considered a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage technical admin support for security toolset, primarily UDM and IDS (Varonis)
• Participate in integrating Varonis with other products (Splunk, Demisto, Soar, Service Now)
• Support migration of Varonis to cloud and extend monitoring to O365 data stores.
• Create Access and DCF reports from Varonis.
• Perform risk remediation and data owner identification tasks to support long term evergreen initiative.
• Thinks outside the box to assist in streamlining existing processes with the ability to see where improvements are needed.
• Manage problem resolution and Service Request tickets.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of Windows and server administration.
• Full understanding of Active Directory with hands on AD skills.
• Knowledge of networking, TCP, FTP, SCP and firewalls.
• Knowledge of IT security principles.
• Technical writing skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Flexible to manage and perform weekend changes as required.
• Need to provide on-call 24x7x365 support as needed.
• Programming skills and scripting experience (Powershell) a plus.
• 5+ years of experience with Varonis required.
• 5+ years of experience with Windows Administraton and Active Directory required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• MCP, MCSA, MCSE or other applicable certifications a plus.
