The Integrity Investigations and Intelligence organization works on challenging, complex and emerging problems to provide end-to-end protection to at-risk people from real world harm. We are seeking experienced security engineers to support the identification, understanding, investigation, detection, response and prevention of criminal activity on Facebook’s products. Security Software Developer, Integrity Investigations and Intelligence Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve on technical products used to facilitate security and intelligence investigations
  • Code using primarily PHP, React, Python, Haskell, etc.
  • Identify and implement practical solutions to challenging, real world problems
  • Partner with other engineering teams to provide a holistic solution to surfacing and responding to emerging threats
  • Manage multiple projects at once while effectively prioritizing time based on team priorities
  • Work closely with security investigators to identify process improvements and countermeasures to stop or prevent abuse
  • Lead multiple projects at once while effectively prioritizing time based on team priorities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of software development experience
  • Experience of developing and debugging in a variety of languages including but not limited to: PHP, Python, JavaScript, Haskell or Java
  • Proven experience communicating and working successfully cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
  • Experience in cyber threat intelligence and/or electronic crime space
  • Experience with React or other frontend web development technologies
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in system, network, and/or application security
  • Experience contributing to the security community (public research, blogging, presentations, open source contributions, etc.)
