As Product & Technology Security Assurance Senior Manager you will have a broad remit that spans both technical, procedural, and business security functions. You will be responsible for defining and developing our Product Security initiatives by leading teams that assess and evaluate technology across the CG enterprise – from initial technology reviews, security and privacy design requirements, to go-live assurance. As part of this effort, you will leverage your background in program management and IT technical leadership to drive initiatives and ensure successful conclusions to cross-functional projects. This unique opportunity will enable you to make real positive impacts to our security posture, guide the strategic direction of our technical and business security teams, and help improve our security designs and processes in our next gen of systems and services.

Along with providing leadership of security teams, you will help shape and improve the information security organization’s strategic goals and objectives, resourcing, budgeting, and structure. This is an excellent opportunity to use your deep security knowledge and expertise to help define and implement robust security strategies, frameworks, and governance processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage, recruit, and develop geographically distributed security teams. Mentor and teach junior managers, engineers, and analysts.
  • Manage teams of security analysts and engineers to review, assess, evaluate, and approve technology solutions, systems, and products.
  • Drive and influence enterprise and infrastructure security across the organization by partnering with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Act as a program lead for critical security programs, managing large scale security projects.
  • Align strategy, threat management, and prioritization for all efforts around cloud, infrastructure, product, and business security.
  • Be a subject matter expert and provide guidance for the company around security best practices.
  • Lead engagement with IT teams to drive adoption of Information Security products and facilitate ongoing feedback to Information Security engineering teams.
  • Apply and deploy multiple approaches to remove organizational impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges, mindset shifts, etc.).
  • Create quality written work products and engineering artifacts for both technical engineering and non-technical consumers.
  • Navigate successfully through ambiguous situations, helping others remain focused on achieving results.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Prior experience leading security teams and programs.
  • Prior experience leading teams over multiple locations.
  • Prior experience with project and program management
  • Broad information security experience, understanding, and knowledge across multiple disciplines including application security, cloud security, data security, business security, and product security.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a simplified way.
  • Ability to establish self as a leader, to not only perform in a leadership role, but to also be recognized by other divisions and business partners as a leader.
  • Strong presence and credibility with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills which are effective and impactful to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to see the big picture with high attention to critical details.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security or other technical area or equivalent experience.
  • You have at least 10+ years of management experience in IT, securityrisk, or a related field, preferably in the financial sector.
  • You have finely honed prioritization and delegation skills.
  • You listen for nuances, dig into details to understand systems deeply, and articulate technical details and risks to business leaders.
  • You can empower others to make security decisions.
  • You understand and can negotiate tradeoffs between security requirements and usability.
  • You communicate technical security requirements and issues clearly, without instilling fear
  • You know when to take a technical challenge on yourself, gain support, and delegate aspects of the work
  • You can problem solve and make complex analytical decisions with less than full information in ambiguous situations and environments.
  • You are self-directed, very proactive, and adept at multitasking.
  • You have a personal passion for security and cutting-edge security concepts.
  • You are passionate about digital learning, eCrime and you seek opportunities to evolve your knowledge of technical trends, risks and solutions through multiple sources of digital information
  • You are constantly building new cybersecurity knowledge and skills. Learning new cybersecurity and data analytical, M/L skills and are aware of evolving threats to enable your ability to protect information, business and cloud technology services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An MBA, Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CCSP, CISM, CISSP certification.
  • PMP or other project management certification
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001/2, FFIEC CAT, NIST CSF.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $184,252-$313,228

San Antonio Base Salary Range: $165,933-$282,086

San Francisco Base Salary Range: $203,168-$345,386

New York Base Salary Range: $195,333-$332,066

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
