IT Project Manager
PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF), one of the largest independent refiners in North America, has an immediate need at our company headquarters located in Parsippany, NJ for a talented IT solutions professional to lead IT related Projects.
This position provides Project Management expertise for IT Projects. This includes development and management of a project plan, ongoing management of project issues and risks, status reporting and presentations, managing the implementation of solutions throughout all phases of the project, and leading coordination between multiple IT and Business groups.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to manage projects from definition of project scope through implementation
- Manage timeline, resources, and budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project plan including all phases of a project
- Produce and present weekly status reports to key stakeholders
- Clearly communicate and track project issues and risks
- Lead Project team meetings and drive action items and upcoming activities
- Assist the team for documentation in capturing the design, requirements, testing, and training plan for system processes
- Perform quality assurance through design, review, and execution of test cases
- Issue and Risk management, including identification and execution of mitigation plans
- Facilitate user testing and ensure testing completeness
- Unit testing
- System integration testing
- User readiness testing
- Regression testing
- Facilitation of change management and user training as well as knowledge transfer and transition to support team
- Determine if there are any stakeholders in addition to those already identified
- Develop relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure successful projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once with varying levels of responsibilities and scope
- Be proactive in identifying ways to improve business practices, strengthen controls and create efficiencies in project lifecycle
- Respond to other activities and initiatives deemed necessary to support the Business and the IT organization
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related area
- 5+ years IT project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication based on audience
- At least one SAP life cycle as the Project Manager or Module Lead preferred
- Project management certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to capture requirements and implement on time and on budget
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate conflict while working with parties toward acceptable solution which satisfies the spirit of the requirement
- Proven Leadership aptitude
- Critical thinking and problem-solving proficiency
- Self-reliant Individual with demonstrated ability to quickly add value to an organization
- Proficient in MS Office – Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook
- Proficient in SharePoint
- Expected Travel – 20%
