The Cloud Security Engineer provides guidance and support for network and identity and access management security capabilities in support of Tyson’s Security program. This position will provide guidance on how to operationalize security and compliance within CI/CD processes and cloud platforms. It will engage with our service providers to evaluate their compliance with service levels and will assist them in onboarding tools, techniques, and processes into a standard operating model. The ideal candidate will work with leadership and architecture to provide technical guidance on security technology roadmaps to support overall enterprise direction along with solution portfolios to ensure alignment with overall organizational goals. It will also evaluate Tyson’s security posture and make recommendations to leadership and operational teams. In addition, the position interfaces directly with leadership to identify, recommend, develop, plan, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions across all security domains.

This team member will be responsible for providing technical leadership for Tyson’s cloud security program. This role will be multi-functional and will be leading efforts to protect Tyson’s technology solutions through operational collaboration in partnership with internal and managed outsourced security resources. This is an individual contributor role and will not have direct reports but may direct others based on specific project needs.

• Proven experience with cloud, network security, and identity and access management
• Provide technical oversight and guidance on cloud security technologies
• Coordinate cloud security execution with security, operations, and application teams
• Provide technical expertise in the evaluation of security and business applications and services
• Identify vulnerability and security compliance issues
• Provide technical expertise and execution for application and network penetration and cloud configuration compliance testing including scoping and access requirements
• Analyze results of vulnerability, compliance, and penetration testing results, understand the results, and provide clarity to solution owners as needed.
• Provide project management for select continuous improvement and other security related projects
• Work collaboratively with all levels of the business

Requirements:

Education: Minimum four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical area. Related experience may be acceptable. Security certifications preferred.

Experience: 8+ years of experience in Information Systems or related area preferred, 6+ years of experience required. Experience in cloud security specifically in the areas of network security and identity and access management are preferred.

Computer Skills: Broad knowledge of networks, computer systems, operating systems, applications, and/or equipment with deeper expertise in specific fields. Application of current technology developments and trends. Experience with project and work management tools.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience communicating technical information to non-technical team members.

Supervisory: This is an individual contributor role and will not have direct reports. This role may direct others based on specific project needs.

Travel: Some travel may be required. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
