Primary Purpose of Position:

This position provides day-to-day administration of BXP’s enterprise applications by supporting and maintaining configurations, security standards, overall system integrity and data integrations. The position performs analysis, application development and implementation support on new initiatives.

Essential Functions

Maintenance & Support

  • Working as part of a collaborative team, serve as the first responder to daily requests and inquiries. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Escalate issues to outside service providers & contractors if necessary. Act as primary liaison with service providers and/or internal resources to ensure appropriate technical and product-level support.
  • Responsible for on-boarding/off-boarding users across applications.
  • Support the Applications team on project initiatives.
  • Support company initiatives to implement and maintain SaaS solutions and related process improvements.

Security, Integrity Reports & System Controls

  • Maintain user and group profiles. Audit security profiles.
  • Review and assemble weekly integrity reports. Troubleshoot and resolve integrity issues.
  • Monitor incidents and/or changes related to security, system objects and integrity reports.

Application Development

  • Test new applications, configurations, or enhancements. Coordinate beta testing.
  • Develop reports and dashboards. Assist others in the use of reporting and dashboarding tools.
  • Follow guidelines and controls in promoting new packages and versions.
  • Integrate & support third party applications and tools.

Reporting and Data Services

  • Manage and administer reporting services.
  • Implement controls and security strategies to safeguard corporate data. Develop operating procedures and routines for monitoring usage and ensuring the integrity of reports.
  • Coordinate and chair monthly reporting change management meetings.

Implementation & Training

  • Perform training of new applications. Prepare supporting documentation and training materials.
  • Perform quality control to ensure new applications are properly transitioned into production.

Internal Operations

  • Conduct research on new technologies, products, or solutions.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with policies and control requirements.
  • Conduct both one-on-one instruction and group training sessions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Possess an understanding or willingness to learn relational database concepts, database architecture & data access tools.
  • Proven ability to provide remote based and in-person support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Proven ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and proficiency in customer service culture. Exhibits and champions excellence in work habits and a willingness to embrace change.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively, independently, and as part of a team is essential.
  • Be detail-oriented and methodical in solving problems and managing multiple projects.
  • Possess an aptitude toward learning technical concepts. Be results-oriented and a quick learner in supporting new products and technologies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Be able to travel and to work flexible schedules outside normal business hours when required.
  • Ability to “think outside the box” and contribute ideas in constantly attempting to make existing processes more efficient.

Physical Requirements

  • Involves work of a general office nature usually performed sitting such as operation of a computer or answering the phone.
  • Involves work of a general office nature usually performed standing such as operation of a photocopier.
  • Involves movement between departments to facilitate workflow.
  • May be required to occasionally lift 10-15 lbs.

Internal and External Contacts

  • Regularly interfaces in both verbal and written form with all levels of professionals (800 employees in multiple locations) regarding wide range of employee matters. Many matters are confidential in nature.
  • Regularly interfaces with external consultants and vendors.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Director, Applications who provides supervision, guidance and evaluates work performance on a periodic basis.
