We are looking for a a Turreted Weapon Systems Staff Program Manager Lead to add to our team. Working closely with the Business Unit Leadership, the Staff Program Manager Lead works with a team of highly skilled Program Managers supporting the efforts from the proposal phase, through design, transition to production, and fielding of our Turreted Weapon Systems, all in support of “equipping those who defend freedom”.

Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor 2-6 Program Managers
  • Coordinate with the PM team to forecast and document the required personnel needs (engineering, supply chain, technicians, etc.) for each program
  • Work with the PM team to ensure that the contractual requirements for hardware, software, delivery, etc., are met through planning, monitoring, and expediting
  • Assist the PM team with the generation of program-specific master schedules for production, engineering, etc., through coordination and collaboration with customers, as required
  • Monitor overall Turreted Weapon Systems programs’ costs, schedules, task completions and deliveries for performance against schedules and work with the team to take appropriate action
  • Lead the efforts to update and report individual program status, major events, issues, etc., to senior leaders inside and outside of the organization, including information concerning status of current programs, leads on new business, trends in hardware issues, and program pricing
  • As a member of the Turret Weapons Systems’ leadership team, support all aspects of new business proposal development including providing inputs to Sales Managers for development of bookings and Sales Forecasts

Here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a technical field (preferably engineering), and a minimum of ten years of program related work experience
  • Must be familiar with methods, procedures and techniques used in quality and material control systems
  • Must have excellent listening, collaboration, and persuasive skills to both understand, explain, and expedite when necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must to handle internal and external customers in a positive manner regarding information impacting their programs
  • Must have excellent writing skills for customer and Moog communications as well as proposal work
  • Ability to organize and influence people, as well as an outstanding ability to communicate and facilitate with a highly collaborative and consensus driven leadership approach
  • Proven knowledge and experience with formal project management, including use of project management tools
  • Earned Value Management experience, preferred
  • Understanding of the technology involved with Turret Weapon Systems and military ground-mobile systems, highly preferred
  • Industry Certification(s) desirable, i.e., Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Global Information Assurance Cert., Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Information Security Manager (CSSLP, CISSP, GICSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM)
  • Ability to access US export-controlled information (ITAR)
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance
