What you’ll do…

JOB SUMMARY –
As a seasoned professional in security engineering, performs diverse functions in assigned area of specialty including network and system support, incident response or forensics.

Responsibilities performed may include any of the following:

  • installing, configuring, maintaining, testing and assisting with deployment of security hardware and software,
  • performing network troubleshooting to diagnose and respond to Tier 2/Tier 3 client issues and questions related to data security
  • detecting, protecting and responding to security threats, and/or
  • recovering forensic evidence

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Network and System Support

  1. Provides Tier 2/Tier 3 client support, responding in timely manner to diverse and more complex client requests typically including network configuration, maintenance, and incident management and managed device technical support and access concerns.
  2. Analyzes and responds to security threats of significant risk from various security platforms and technologies.
  3. Configures, tests, manages and upgrades security products and other technologies impacting data security.
  4. Performs network troubleshooting to diagnose more complex network problems.
  5. Supports more complex security platform changes and upgrades.

Incident Response and Forensics

  1. Performs security reconnaissance on assets, gathering intelligence to identify and respond to potential security threats or vulnerabilities of significant organizational risk or complexity, ensuring appropriate leader notification and threat mitigation.
  2. Reviews threat management systems, appropriately classifying and responding to threats of significant risk.
  3. Coordinates with security monitoring function to ensure they are provided with appropriate intelligence on any significant threats.
  4. Conducts highly confidential more complex cyber forensic investigations, acquiring, collecting documenting and preserving evidence from various forms of electronic media and equipment, alerting leadership as appropriate based on H&R Block policies and practices.
  5. Works directly with the business on follow-up on issues resulting from forensic investigations and to ensure resolution.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.

Work Experience:

  • 5 years Minimum related work experience
