Sr Integration Architect, Enterprise Architecture

Looking for an Integration Architect that can span the software and information architecture domains to identify growth opportunities for Cardinal Health to expand our role in the healthcare ecosystem via digital solutions. Create and deliver new / enhanced business value at Cardinal Health by influencing and leading change within the Information domain across Business and IT. Establish a deep understanding of the functional and technical aspects of our integration landscape and create architectures, establish frameworks, guide project decisions, designs, and investment to increase speed to market and efficiency of changes.
Become a visible technical leader within EA and Enterprise Information Technology by contributing to talent acquisition and development as well as contributing to areas outside area of responsibility when needed.

Specific Duties, Competencies and Accountablities

  • Implementation experience across both software and information stacks (open source and Google Cloud Platform preferred)
  • Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s) including the Google Cloud Platform, Integration, Cyber Security, and remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices.
  • Proactively develops, maintains and evangelizes technical knowledge in integration patterns and technologies like real time using APIs, streaming using Kafka, batch using Del Boomi and Attunity. Keeps up-to-date on current trends and best practices.
  • Strong strategic and technical thought leadership and ability to align diverse opinions.
  • Experience leading complex data and / or software Architecture and Strategies
  • Encourages informed risk-taking and acts as a catalyst for innovation at Cardinal Health; generates practical, sustainable and creative options to solve problems and create business opportunities, while maximizing existing resources.
  • Take current problem domain and architect / design solutions that solve immediate business need, meet current standards and support principles and related reference architectures.
  • Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise.
  • Ability to Identify high-value business opportunities and work with Business and IT stakeholders to realize business benefit.
  • Work across diverse teams, perspectives and opinions and quickly build consensus.

  • Strong experience in integrating a variety of SaaS and COTS packages including SAP and SalesForce


  • Recent experience in Architecture, Design, and Implementation of highly scalable, highly available services and solutions.
  • Hands on experience in creating and deploying complex platform solutions in small and large environments.
  • Hands on experience with some of the following architectures: Solarwinds, Splunk, IBM Netcool, HP BPM Tools, BMC Coraidiant, IBM Wiley, Confio Ignite, etc.
  • Data Center architecture & design experience for large environments.
  • Experience with designing highly resilient HA/DR and resilient application in conjunction with the supporting technologies (i.e., Storage, Server, Network, Active Directory, Database, etc.)
  • Familiarity with networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, reverse proxy, etc.)
  • Familiarity of application platforms like .Net, Java, LAMP etc. though not mandatory, will be a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with DevOps, automated build, and source control technologies.
  • Familiarity with data models (UML), and web services (RESTful interfaces) for IP based systems.
  • Knowledge of prominent cloud standards and specification efforts (e.g., AWS, Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, etc.).
  • Understanding of security standards, best practices, and designs
