About the Role

The Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture (EA)is responsible for setting the vision and leading all strategic and tactical aspects of EA for the company. You will lead a highly skilled team of architects working to align and integrate the banks business and technology strategies while ensuring BOKF’s complex business technology investment portfolio is strategically aligned and compliant with all relevant architecture standards. Through fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity and technical innovation among all architecture disciplines (Business, Network, Data, Cloud, Systems, Cyber Security, Experience and Solution, you will unify and optimize the collective strengths and capabilities of all architects.

As a member of the Operations & Technology Senior Leadership Team, you will be properly positioned to have meaningful influence on IT strategic planning and investment priorities and will partner closely with senior Ops & Tech leadership, Chief Data Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and other senior business leaders to ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities. You will ensure that EA is laying a foundation that enables organizational agility, marketplace competitiveness and regulatory compliance.

You will guide and energize a highly-engaged EA function that visibly and consistently demonstrates value on multiple levels. You will partner with business leaders to design digital operating models that adapt to customer expectations, competitive challenges and technical opportunities. You will ensure the EA team understands and contributes to all business/technology multi-year roadmaps.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • You will develop and maintain mutually beneficial senior-level relationships as a member of the BOKF Senior Leadership Team.
  • You will use your ability to leverage business and technical experience to educate and influence enterprise-wide strategies and decisions.
  • You will utilize your extensive experience delivering and authoring executive-level documents and presentations.
  • You will inspire a culture of continual process improvement and provide thought leadership for the IT Governance framework and related processes.
  • You will drive talent management & development by leading recruitment and performance coaching initiatives for EA. Your lead by example approach will ensure that everyone understands the importance of inclusion and the value of diverse, complementary thinking, styles, and approaches.
  • You will support entrepreneurial business strategies and plans, research and understand emerging FinTech solutions for potential applicability, and proactively connect and engage with industry peers to have a meaningful influence on IT strategic planning and investment priorities.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related field of study and 15 or more years of experience architecting IT solutions, developing enterprise-wide strategies, designing comprehensive system architectures, leading complex IT projects, and negotiating and administering vendor contracts. Working knowledge of cross-org systems within a complex financial industry company, with a deep understanding of the banking and financial industry business; end-to-end systems architecture, and operational support systems is strongly preferred. Prior experience as a Manager/Director of Enterprise Architecture in the Financial Services industry is a significant plus.
