Catalent Security is a key business partner supporting Catalent People, Property, and Assets. Reporting to the Leader, Site Security, the position will assist in overseeing, implementing, and managing the security operations at the St. Petersburg site.

This position will understand the risks to pharmaceutical businesses, and the strategies necessary to mitigate these risks through the management of a 24/7 security operation. This requires identifying critical assets, assessing threats and risks, and ensuring an effective process of notification and communication.

The Role

  • Ensure compliance to site and corporate security standards Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and other applicable regulatory security requirements

  • Ensure crisis communications and emergency notifications are managed effectively during an emergency

  • Manage a team of contracted site security personnel being accessible 24/7 for emergency situations and maintaining security technology systems.

  • Oversee access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and mass notifications systems.

  • Ensure highly effective partnerships with contract security service providers

  • Assist the Site Security Director in the execution of general security training and awareness programs for Catalent employees

  • Ensure effective liaison and collaboration with local law enforcement, Fire Department, and Community Emergency Response Team

  • Completing incident reports and entering them into the incident reporting data system

The Candidate

  • Associate Degree in a related field or three years security experience (combined corporate security and/or military/law enforcement)

  • Operation of card access systems, video surveillance systems, and standard intrusion alarm systems

  • Experience within the safety, security, facilities, and disaster recovery disciplines, to include prior law enforcement or military expertise

  • Working in a high paced 24/7 Security Operations Center environment

  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate diplomatic skills.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, management, suppliers, and customers
