Senior Risk Management Professional – Third Party Risk Management

The Senior Risk Management Professional a critical member within Humana’s Third Party Risk Management Program (TPRM), a 2nd Line of Defense function, will be responsible for maturing our program by implementing vendor risk management practices and processes within our operations to ensure effective governance of our vendor portfolio. The candidate’s ability to lead with his/her third party risk based experience, confidence and effective partnerships is critical to our mission.


As a successful Senior Risk Management Professional candidate, we need you to bring your critical thinking, vendor risk, operational and effective relationship building skills to us to support risk identification, analysis, process design and implementing control practices to drive our vendor compliance culture across the enterprise. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to influence TPRM’s strategy, by making decisions on moderately complex to complex issues with minimal direction. This role allows for considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Please Note: We are not looking for candidates to conduct cyber vendor assessments but rather support our TPRM function in building out and maturing our governance practices and processes to provide guidance to our business owners in managing their vendors.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ experience in vendor risk management, enterprise risk management, operational risk management, audit and risk/control framework
  • Strong focus on developing effective working relationships.
  • Archer Experience – Must have working knowledge
  • 1-2 years operational experience in healthcare/managed care
  • Ability to manage enterprise wide projects with a focus on assessing risks, design and implementation
  • Process improvements skills
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data analysis/ Reporting – PowerBi a Plus!
  • MS/MBA
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
