Job Overview:

Primoris Services Corporation has an excellent opportunity for a Senior HRIS Administrator to join our growing HRIS team! This position has the ability to be 100% remote! The Senior HRIS Administrator partners with HR Directors and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. The Senior HRIS Administrator will builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities, and conduct long-term planning. This position will also serve as a technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HRIS Administrator also supports HRIS upgrades, patches, existing interfaces with other systems and databases, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position will supervise the centralized data processing team, which is comprised of ~ 2-4 full time individuals responsible for data input related to globally standardized processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Champions and serves as technical expert for Human Resources Information System (HRIS), helping support long term strategic direction, design requirements, features, functionality, and progressive enhancements.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert and liaison on the HR technology platforms. Maintains close relationships with relevant HR functional areas and acts as an advisor for technology and related processes.
  • Responsible for maintenance and enhancements of Viewpoint interfaces and maintains workflows and security administration within UKG Pro.
  • Interacts with the Internal Audit team to complete requests when needed.
  • Manages projects and process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.
  • Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Uses data to build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals.
  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HRIS system tables. Documents process and results.
  • Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternative methods to meet requirements.
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Serve as the technical lead, mentor, and trainer for other HR technology users.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (x-lookup, v-lookup, advanced Excel functions and formulas).
  • Understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Cognos, Power BI, MS SQL experience.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred.
  • Minimum six (6) years of hands-on experience with at least one of the larger, major HR applications (e.g., UltiPro/UKG Pro, Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
  • Minimum three (3) years of complex report authoring and dashboard creation.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential preferred.

Location Requirements:

  • Position can be fully remote, fully in-office, or hybrid. Major office locations are Dallas/Ft Worth (TX), Baton Rouge (LA), Lake Forest (CA), Little Canada (MN), and Denver (CO).
