Overview

RMR is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer who possesses an insatiable desire to understand infrastructure technologies at their deepest level and who strives to deliver enterprise projects. As a member of our Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for designing and building cloud infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to, our 120+ IaaS servers in Azure, O365 and Azure services, Active Directory, Group Policy, SSO, MFA.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Azure solutions, platform migration, system security, enterprise directories, and cloud technologies.
  • Design, manage and optimize identity management solutions leveraging Azure Active Directory and using security best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of public cloud network infrastructure such as VNETs, Network Security Groups, Route Tables, DNS etc.
  • Deep working knowledge of Disaster Recovery and migration strategies on Azure using Azure Recovery Services, Azure Backup Vault.
  • Understanding of Azure File Shares and Storage, experience with AZcopy.
  • Understanding of Azure Scale Sets and Availability Sets.
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager Templates / Blueprints.
  • Experience with Azure Policy, RBAC and Management Groups.
  • PowerShell / Azure CLI for deployments and administration.
  • Experience with Infrastructure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log analytics, Splunk, LogicMonitor.
  • Act as senior resource to junior level team members providing mentoring and advanced troubleshooting, performance monitoring, capacity planning.
  • Experience developing process and workflow to enable Infrastructure automation.
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills to identify issue root cause and to maintain maximum uptime and service availability.
  • Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
  • Exposure to DevOps and Agile Methodologies for Tasks and Operations.
  • Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems.
  • Azure cost management and optimization.
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
  • Assist with yearly budgeting by developing vendor relationships and securing competitive quotes.
  • Participate in an off hours on-call rotation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years in a senior infrastructure role with proven experience independently executing on enterprise projects.
  • Recent experience responsible for environments of 200+ servers.
  • Experience in VPN, Site to Site Tunnels, Branch Office Setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure SSO, MFA, and ADFS.
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, SQL Managed Instances, Serverless Environment.
  • Knowledge of Intune and Advanced Threat Protection.
  • Strong sense of ownership and proven experience implementing best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstratable experience in reviewing, evaluating, recommending and implementing technology solutions.
  • Professional Certifications a plus, (Azure Solutions Architect, M365, ITIL, etc.)
