Magellan is looking for top IT talent! Make your first move from college to the work world a smart one by applying for Magellan’s Professional Development Program (PDP).

The Professional Development Program (PDP) is a rotational development program geared toward ensuring employees in the early stages of your career gain an understanding of the various functional areas and business units with Magellan as well as offering experiences in IT with an emphasis on Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Cyber Security. This program is designed to build leadership bench strength for our future.

Within the PDP program, you will have the opportunity to gain professional experience in entry-level positions in three to five areas of the company by rotating through a series of jobs. We ask that you commit to a minimum of three years in the program with each rotation lasting approximately one year. Based on your individual track, PDPs have the opportunity to gain experience in areas such as IT , Accounting, Audit, Business Development, Commercial Transportation and Logistics in Crude Oil or Refined Products, Corporate Compliance, Financial Planning, and Operations.

Summary of Rotation Positions:

• Information Systems – Work in Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and / or Machine Learning for two rotations.
• Business Rotation – Work in the role of a business user to understand the user experience of our major systems.
• Project Management – Option to work as a Project Manager within IT to develop competencies in this area.

Program Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics or related IT focused degree.
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher in all degrees (overall). We require an official transcript(s) from graduating university for all degrees.
• Three years or less professional work experience. Please submit most up-to-date resume.
• Demonstrated leadership roles in philanthropic, civic or other organizations.

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong initiative
• Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally with all levels of leadership internally as well as with external customers.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package
