Summary

Summary The Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for the overall systems and services in the Devices team that is part of Infrastructure domain. The purpose and objectives of the team is to provide an exceptional user experience across the suite of collaboration tools that is owned, supported, managed, and delivered by the team. The engineer will focus on implementation, integration, and deliveries in both the technical and business user aspect. The engineer plays a critical role in the lifecycle of services across Citrix as well as MDM tech stack which includes Jamf, Intune and SCCM, and other services owned by the Devices organization. Working across teams, the Principal Engineer will need ensure that its products and services are being deployed and consumed in an optimal way and mentor teams across the organization with product roadmaps, training and documentation, and support assistance as a product group team. The Principal Engineer will drive the roadmap for the Devices Squad.

Responsibilities

  • Will work with the team to lead initiatives across service offering in the portfolio of applications.
  • Establish automation solutions to streamline operational work for the team and across other teams using Devices services · Monitor and maintain the health of all services across the Devices offerings to provide highly available and reliable systems.
  • Establishes product governance and solutions for Mac and Windows MDM environments and Citrix platform. This include Supporting the Virtual Desktop withing XenDesktop and XenApp.
  • Responsible for building Citrix desktop images App Layers and Workspace Environment Management.
  • Responsible for intake process for publishing applications in the Citrix environment.
  • Works hand in hand with Information to ensure security standards and practices and in place to protect the service offerings and in accordance to our Information Security guidelines
  • Manage Environments, Configurations, Integrations and Deployments for Devices technology stack
  • Action and remediate cyber security threats identified to reduce exposure and company risk · Technologies and platforms within the Devices portfolio:
  • Citrix On Premises and Cloud environments
  • Jamf
  • Microsoft Intune
  • SCCM
  • Standard Applications managed by Devices Squad
  • oAutoPilot/Zero Touch
  • Carry on work through WFS Way of Working using Agile methodologies in a highly collaborative team approach. Participate in an on-call rotation within the team to ensure any urgent or business disruption is attended to according to the organization’s Critical Incident Management process License management across squad services ensuring the appropriate license level for cost-efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 6 to 8+ years delivering products and services under a Senior Engineer or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, or related discipline (significant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Experience with MDM technologies in a global organization.
  • Good understanding of key Agile concepts and/or experience Agile environment.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies – Citrix Cloud preferred
  • Experienced with installing, configuring and managing a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment and managing on-premises Citrix as well as Citrix Cloud management plane.
  • AWS Practitioner
  • Experience with Autopilot and Zero Touch · Expert in scripting using PowerShell (and other tools) to deliver automated and consistent results across the stack.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Critical thinker, handles complex issues and engages team members when assistance is needed
  • Highly organized and able to manage and work from a prioritized list of planned activities for the team
  • Good understanding of how to manage multizone environments spanning multiple locations with configurations around StoreFront, the Delivery Controllers, and HDX.
