Responsibilities
- This role involves analyzing mobile security risks, implementing security measures, and monitoring mobile environments to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. The analyst will work closely with IT teams, developers, and management to establish best practices and compliance with security policies and regulations
- Mitigate security threats on mobile devices: Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate threats such as malware, adware, ransomware, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Ensure compliance: Maintain compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies for mobile devices, reducing the risk of regulatory penalties. Ensure the team remains current with the latest updates, security features, and best practices, thereby maintaining a robust and resilient security posture.
- Enhance threat detection and response: Develop and implement advanced threat detection and response capabilities for mobile devices, ensuring rapid and effective responses to emerging threats.
- May develop and support solutions using contemporary automation, scripting, and/or programming languages and has knowledge necessary for effective DevSecOps partnerships.
Improve knowledge sharing and team expertise:
- Facilitate cross-training and knowledge sharing with the broader IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure that specialized mobile security knowledge is widely distributed.
- Serve as a subject matter point-of-contact on mobile security, providing guidance and insights to enhance the overall team’s capabilities.
Qualifications
- 1 Year hands-on experience administering mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and their security features.
- 6 months hands-on experience with MDM/MAM such as InTune.
- Experience with mobile security applications.
- Proficiency in mobile application security testing and vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., OWASP, Burp Suite, etc.).
- Experience supporting and/or pen-testing mobile devices.
- Security certification a plus. Suggested certifications may include Azure, AWS CCP, CISSP, GSEC, CISM, CRISC, GCIA, GREM, GCWN, GAWN, GPPA, CCNP Security, PCNSA, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB), Certified Mobile Security Tester (CMST) or similar mobile security-focused certification.
- Responsible for the handling and maintenance of confidential and highly sensitive information.
