Manager – Research Systems

Position Summary

TelevisaUnivision is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Research Systems, to manage the ETS (Enterprise Technology Service) application portfolio supporting our Research business domain. This position will report to the Senior Director, Sales & Research Systems.

This role will be responsible for gathering business requirements and developing plans and strategies to support Research Department initiatives from a technology perspective. This will include Network Research and Local Media Research (television and radio). This requires establishing and maintaining a close working relationship with the business users. Responsibilities include:

• conducting business analysis
• managing the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of internal software
• coordinating and communicating change needs to software developers and managing deliverables with the business
• managing vendor accounts and interacting with software vendors as necessary to ensure that business functional needs are being met
• coordinating and communicating across ETS teams when necessary, including items such as corporate initiatives, server and database upgrades, security, and compliance tasks

This role will require an intimate knowledge and/or fast paced uptake of Research data and processes. Success in this role will often require a hands-on approach to problem solving and troubleshooting. This person will be expected to continuously advance technical skills and business knowledge as necessary and adhere to department and company policies and practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• BS degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 8 years of business applications experience, preferably in support of a business area
• Strong knowledge of the media industry, preferably with an (advertising) Sales and Research focus
• Experience managing teams, onsite or remote, in developing and maintaining software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization skills and ability to problem solve
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Awareness of best practice processes, methods, and technologies
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence, high quality standards, and attention to detail

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Operations experience with Nielsen ratings data
• Experience with Windows operating environment and software development, in particular .NET and Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server

Eligibility Requirements:

• Hybrid: 50% in office (New York, NY or Teaneck, NJ), 50% remote
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
