About the job

The objective of this position is to support execution of application strategy and business transformation activities exploring new ways of delivering value to the business processes for Commercials, Finance, HR, Maintenance and Engineering and Source to Pay areas.

This professional works in collaboration with the business global process owners improving, redefining, addressing process re-engineering, and facilitating brainstorms and potential optimization or implementation of new solutions required. Can bridge the gap between business strategy and right sized technology solutions which fit in a sophisticated technology ecosystem.

The Transformation Analyst supports the modernization of Alcoa’s Enterprise application portfolio and ecosystems through simplification, standardization, digitalization. Assists with improving the integration, automation, and data strategies while following company’s standards, governance structure and targeting commonality of business solutions.

Key Activities

  • Develop positive relationships and work in partnership with business areas, comprehends current condition, business needs, strategies, plans and recommends cost effective changes for existing processes and systems
  • Supports business portfolio changes and ensure results expected
  • Supports execution of Enterprise Application Strategy for Commercials, Finance, HR, Maintenance and Engineering and Source to Pay areas
  • Facilitates ideation, option development, solution design, implementation, and deployment roadmap development for new (digital) initiatives and application projects
  • Support application portfolio management activities working in conjunction with Application Leaders to expedite work assisting business areas.
  • Develop and detail new project initiatives, work estimates, timelines, results, and landmarks
  • Analyze existing businesses to define & implement innovative ways
  • Lead problem solving, develop opportunities for businesses & convincingly present recommendations
  • Lead work streams for the entire life cycle from strategic planning to day-to-day monitoring – final transition to Run the Shop operations
  • Knows the latest with technology trends and innovations and collaborates with IS Architecture & Governance, Integration, Infrastructure, Data Architects, Security, Data Privacy, and other groups to ensure right adoption of business solution used by these areas.

  • Technical degree: Information Systems, Engineering or Business Administration with experience in large company´s business processes
  • 7+ years’ experience on large scale applications and business process support

  • Ability to handle a multi-tasking environment, meet deadlines & work with a wide range of critical & confidential issues
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently & accomplish a task with minimum supervision
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills; strong analytical & quantitative modelling skills
  • Confidence, intellectual curiosity & passion to succeed
  • Must possess experience in customer-facing position
  • Must have problem-solving skills

  • The incumbent must be proficient in local language and possess a fluent level of English.
  • Proven experience improving efficiency in previous jobs
  • Having professional planning experience
  • Flexible servicing the business across multiple time zones in a global environment
  • Some experience with Oracle ERP or SAP modules for Commercials, Finance or Source to Pay areas, preferred
  • Beneficial to have some experience with data analytics solutions and automation

This professional works collaboratively with global business process owners to improve, redesign, address process re-engineering, and facilitate brainstorming and potential optimization or implementation of new required solutions. This role helps bridge the gap between business strategy and right-sized technology solutions that fit into a sophisticated technology ecosystem.

The Transformation Analyst supports the modernization of Alcoa’s enterprise application portfolio and ecosystems through simplification, standardization and digitization. He or she contributes to the improvement of integration, automation and data strategies while respecting standards, governance structure and targeting the company‘s common business solutions.

Main activities

  • Develop positive relationships and work in partnership with business sectors, understand the current situation, business needs, strategies, plans and recommend cost-effective changes to existing processes and systems.
  • Support business portfolio changes and ensure expected results.
  • Support the execution of the company‘s application strategy for commercial, financial, HR, maintenance, engineering and Source-to-Pay sectors.
  • Facilitate ideation, option development, solution design, implementation and roadmap development of new (digital) initiatives and application projects.
  • Support Application Portfolio Management activities in conjunction with Application Owners to expedite support work to business lines.
  • Develop and detail new project initiatives, work estimates, timelines, results and milestones.
  • Analyze existing activities to define and implement innovative means.
  • Lead problem solving, develop business opportunities and present recommendations in a compelling manner.
  • Lead workflows for the entire life cycle, from strategic planning to day-to-day monitoring – final transition to business continuity operations.
  • Be aware of the latest technology trends and innovations and collaborate with IS architecture and governance, integration, infrastructure, data architects, security, data privacy and other groups to ensure appropriate adoption of the business solution used by these sectors.
