Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead the COTS Application IT Infrastructure & Operations Service Line team. Take ownership and responsibilities related to the Service Line team. Multi-task between managing small projects, improving service line team, supporting the maintenance of business, and supporting large projects.
  • Responsible for working with the Business and Information Systems teams on hardware/software requirements, deployment, testing, upgrades, and support issue escalation.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of design, standards, and process documentation.
  • Responsible for following I&O processes including document, change control, and asset management.
  • Responsible for maintaining a stable/reliable services/infrastructure.
  • Establish technology roadmaps, scaling requirements, and projects to keep the I&O environment up to current technology and corporate standards.
  • Subject matter expert on hardware/software licenses/renewals in technology area.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting system functional and operational issues and coordinate with internal teams and contractors for support.
  • Implement proactive and preventative measures to ensure reliable and efficient system availability.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve quality of service for operations.
  • Responsible for team required skills/training.
  • Responsible for providing required technology global coverage.
  • Responsible for user escalation point and assist cross-functional team(s) to drive problem solving to root cause resulting in long-term user satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in IS, IT or a related technical field.
  • In lieu of degree, consideration for up to 15 years of direct experience in Information Systems along with partial degrees and/or certifications.
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT
  • Subject matter expert in Applications Systems and strong foundational knowledge of systems engineering/administration including Operating Systems, Active Directory, Virtual Environments (VMWare/Hyper-V), storage, security, networks, server installations, application installation/deployment, backups, databases, cloud services and systems/architecture design.
  • Skills in change management, documentation, and project/time management.
  • Must have a strong passion to learn/absorb new functionalities and keep up with technology.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
