Qualcomm Information Security and Risk Management tasks range across all areas of cyber security, including operations technology (OT) security, architecture security, application security, cyber threat hunting & intelligence, responding to cyber security incidents, automation and scripting efforts, and engaging with business units to help manage cyber risks to the organization.

As a Qualcomm IT Cyber Security Intern, you will work with a team of IT professionals and engineers to develop, implement and maintain various technologies for the organization. With a degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology, you will be able to contribute to some of the projects below.

Programming Languages

• Perl
• Python

Minimum Qualification

• In study towards a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Cyber Security or related.
• Must be available for 10 – 16 weeks during Summer 2022 (May-September) with a graduation date of December 2022 or later

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Linux, CI/CD, automation, scripting, machine learning and systems programming
• Splunk, RedHat
• Risk Management
• Vulnerability scanning
• Security policies
• Company Confidential Information (CCI) definitions & appropriate Data handling
• Phishing

Successful candidates will have one or more of the following:

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• PMI Agile Practioner (PMI-AP)
• MBA (Masters in Business Administration)
