Job Description Summary:

The Information Security Governance Intern will handle and support a variety of projects within the Information Security Office. Assignments can include working on supporting our governance and operations team, assisting with the management of Option Care Health’s security awareness, risk management, and metrics and reporting programs. Some technical security review may also be requested as part of security incident analysis or current security trends.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Assist with educational Cybersecurity content (e.g., articles, how-to videos, training courses) to train over 6,000 technical and non-technical members of the Option Care Health workforce about cybersecurity threats (e.g., phishingransomware).
  • Create and deliver national communications regarding various Cybersecurity efforts (e.g., project updates) to applicable members of the workforce through the appropriate channels (e.g., email, company portal).
  • Plan and host virtual Cybersecurity events to deliver Cybersecurity specific content to members of the Option Care Health Ambassadors.
  • Assist the Chief Information Security Officer & Governance team with any special projects.
  • Work with the Governance team and subject matter experts to create, publish, and manage Information Security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Work with the Governance team to support the IT Risk Assessment and 3rd Party Risk Management programs.
  • Assist with communications regarding the Incident Response Management program.
  • Assist Information Security Governance and Operations team with reporting and metrics
  • Take notes and memos during meetings; follow-up on action items with stakeholders.
  • Enter risks into the organizational risk register; follow-up with stakeholders on risk remediation efforts.
  • Assist the Information Security Office and Team with other necessary tasks to advance the Information Security Mission and enhance security across the Option Care Health enterprise.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Current undergraduate juniorsenior, or graduate with interest in cybersecurity.

Basic Qualifications

  • CybersecurityRisk Management, Information Technology, Microsoft Office, SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to assess when to ask for help versus when to complete assignments with limited assistance (required).
  • Organizational skills evidenced by a demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple responsibilities (required).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills (required).
  • Demonstrate ability to appropriately analyze, interpret, and discuss low to moderately complex issues (required).
  • Customer oriented along with the ability to work well in a team setting (required).

Preferred Qualifications & Interests

Must be a rising college juniorsenior or current graduate student with a preferred emphasis in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Analytics, Law or related field (strongly preferred).
