What you can expect

The Global Information Security (GIS) team is responsible for protecting bank information systems, confidential and proprietary data, and customer information. The Cyber Security Defense (CSD) team aims to protect the bank by having an end-to-end view and influence over all security controls at the Bank. The CSD team provides the first line of defense for Bank of America.

The (GIS) team has a new rotation program that will give you a chance to explore various areas within the CSD team. This two-year program will begin in July 2022 and it will give you hands-on experience, exposure to different cyber disciplines and teams, and an opportunity to be part of an award-winning information security team, known as the ‘best’ around the world.

Job Details and Components

  • Two-year rotation program; rotating through various CSD teams each year
  • Experience several cyber security defense areas of expertise prior to transitioning into a permanent role
  • Paired with Executive and Peer mentors to expand networks
  • Formal training and skill building curriculum
  • Networking with Senior Leaders in GIS and across Bank of America
  • Cyber certification training
  • Collaborate with our community and non-profit efforts for cyber education and be able to “pay it forward” to the next generation of Cyber leaders
  • One direct manager the entirety of the program and throughout each rotation to provide stability and support

Qualifications

  • Candidates are required to be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a focus in cyber security or a STEM related major with graduation by May 2022
  • Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies, and efforts to advance technical skills
  • Display clear motivation for exploring a Technology career within financial services
  • Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a variety of people
  • Display evidence of strong teamwork, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
