Your Role and Responsibilities

Product Professional Services consultant responsible for deploying and supporting the Guardium suite of security products including Guardium Insights, Guardium Data Protection and Guardium Data Encryption for IBM customers. You will be part of a growing IBM security team Implementing the complete set of services for the entire Guardium product functionality. You will be ensuring successful enterprise customer implementations in a timely manner as well as other Guardium consultancy product related responsibilities which could include assistance upgrading and installed solution, knowledge transfer and installed environment reviews.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with SQL language.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud architecture and environments.
  • Knowledge and experience working in UNIX, Linux , windows environments.
  • Excellent understanding of the internet protocols TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS etc.
  • Good knowledge on Windows as well as Linux based authentication products and services. Solaris and AIX are a plus.
  • Proven architectural and design experience.
  • Ability to drive the determination and implementation of solutions across platforms.
  • Experience operating in an enterprise environment.

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Guardium industry experience is a bonus.
  • Experienced with database environments such as Oracle, Informix, SQL Server, UDB/DB2, Informix, Mysql, Teradata and/or Sybase is desirable.
  • Experience working on UNIX, Linux and windows environments.
  • Experience with UNIX shell environments.
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Administration is desirable.
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Containers & Kubernetes is desirable.
  • Experience deploying in AWS and Azure cloud environments is desirable.
  • Understanding Network and product software security concepts is desirable.
  • Understanding of enterprise application environment architecture.
  • Experience with Z/OS environments is a bonus.
  • Maintain knowledge with current emerging technologies within Information Security.
  • UNIX scripting and Perl programming is a bonus.
  • Scripting or coding development experience is a bonus.
  • Project management experience is bonus.
  • Experience of public key infrastructure (PKI) is a bonus.
  • Understanding of enterprise authentication and web security.
