We are looking for a director to lead all efforts pertaining to the Cybersecurity Strategy, Planning and Execution of our global Cybersecurity program. This position could be based in either Farmington, Connecticut or Arlington, Virginia.
  • This is a senior leadership position within the organization and reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer. The successful candidate will help all aspects of the Cyber program identify issues and escalate to appropriate areas of the organization. The position requires a strong understanding of technologies, processes, and data across all cyber verticals, as well as demonstrated, excellent project management and leadership skills to translate product vision into a well-sequenced roadmap that evolves as the organization learns and adjusts its business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads strategic security planning and execution to achieve business goals by prioritizing security initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies using a risk-based assessment methodology.
  • Serves as Cyber liaison to Digital Technology (DT) Project Management Office (PMO) ensuring proper alignment to Project Portfolio Management (PPM) methodologies and representation of Cyber portfolio within the global DT portfolio.
  • Influences and persuades other senior leaders regarding complex and/or controversial situations, collaborates with peers on all matters related to cybersecurity
  • Drives Cyber maturity improvements to Board-committed levels through continuous roadmap planning, assessment against changing business risk, and execution oversight.
  • Leads Department of Defense Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) assessments and responses in support of winning new business and/or retaining critical government contracts
  • Facilitates cyber meeting material and support for Cyber Council, Cyber Steering Committee, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Liaises with IT organization to ensure alignment between the security and enterprise architectures, thus coordinating the strategic planning implicit in these architectures
  • Develops, updates, and maintains annual Cyber Security cost center budget
  • Acts as an advocate for the company’s security vision via regular written and in-person communications with executive leadership team, global leadership team, department heads, and end users
  • Works closely with IT Infrastructure and Application teams on technology developments to fully secure information, computer, network, and processing systems, including on-premises and cloud-based applications.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of direct reports to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains, and develops team.
  • Facilitates and coordinates Cyber-wide events such as Learning sessions and All-Hands meetings.
  • Facilitates global response to annual Cyber insurance renewal process; objective is to balance minimized business risk / exposure with achieving cost-effective premiums
  • Ability to team with regions to ensure cyber requirements are met and enforced.

Education/Certifications:

  • bachelor’s degree in computer science, management of information systems or a related business discipline(s), or equivalent years of related experience
  • Security + or CISSP required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus with a variety of key stakeholders, including business and technology leaders, to influence successful outcomes
  • A consistent record of being results-oriented with the desire and ability to achieve aggressive goals
  • Experience working directly with designers, developers, and Quality Assurance (QA) leads to build, design and iterate on digital products and services
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, deployment, and architecture
  • Strong quality, time, and scope management within an IT realm
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills that are relatable to all levels
  • Superb planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt and multitask, with experience working in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience serving as a scrum master, project manager and/or product manager on small- and large-scale technical applications
  • Diligent, disciplined, and reliable, and strives for the highest quality work product
  • Ability to accommodate a ten percent work travel requirement
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. person candidates required (work could involve ITAR-regulated projects)
