Job Summary

In this role, the individual will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of software development environments which improve development collaboration and software production operations. This individual should have experience in technologies associated with version control, change management, release, and build management. Technologies preferred include Windows and Linux operating systems, Git/GitHub, Visual Studio, MSBuild, Cake, Inno, iExpress, JIRA, TeamCity, Confluence, Artifactory, Azure DevOps.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Application Maintenance (i.e., software version control, defect tracking, project management, and automated continuous integration and improvement applications)
    • System upgrades.
    • Respond to user requests.
    • Gain consensus and verify changes prior to implementation.
    • Support network security policy and LDAP authentication systems.
    • Validate tools used in critical software production processes.
    • Automate, through scripting, continuous integration and deployment tools.
  • System Administration (Linux and Windows)
    • Manage user accounts and licensing.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve OS or VM resource issues.
    • Develop and manage diagnostic monitoring tools for the environment.
    • Work with IT on VM and virtual environment related issues.

Qualifications

Education

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience

  • 1-5 years of experience.
  • Git/GitHub, TeamCity, JIRA, and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Generating or modifying existing TeamCity build configurations or Azure pipelines.
  • Linux and Windows OS.
  • VMWare.
  • .NET Frameworks.
  • Network management.
  • Database management.
  • Python, Bash, JavaScript/JSON, XML, and YAML.
  • Confluence, JFrog Artifactory.

Skills

  • An understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • A strong knowledge of system/software integration methods.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of networks and virtual systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, willing to prepare and maintain documentation
