Holland & Hart is seeking a junior to mid-level level Data Privacy & Security Associate to join the firm in its Denver or Boulder location.

We are looking for a candidate to join our dynamic team who can hit the ground running. We counsel clients in a wide variety of industries on everything from privacy compliance, complex outsourcing implementations, M&A deals, data security breaches and everything in between. There will be many opportunities for client contact and developing one’s skills.

Position Requirements

Ideal candidates will have 2-6 years of experience in state, federal, and international data privacy and cybersecurity laws. This position involves counseling clients on data privacy and cybersecurity compliance, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other laws regulating the collection, use, and handling of data and personal information, data breach and incident response, critical infrastructure, and technology transactions. Experience with drafting and negotiating technology services agreements, privacy policies and notices, privacy compliance counseling, data security provisions in technology agreements, and data protection agreements is a plus. We are seeking candidates who are motivated, confident, and practical, have excellent communications, writing, analytical and research skills, and can think outside the box.

Compensation and Expectations

Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements. As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Holland & Hart is providing a good faith salary range for this position (if based in Colorado): $185,000 – $240,000.

Our generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits.

Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), including at least 25 hours dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
