What you’ll be able to do:
The most connected our vehicles become, the greater our focus on the highest standards of cyber security. That’s where you come in. We’re looking to you to play a key role in shaping the future of product development security for vehicles (e.g. Connected Vehicle, Autonomous Vehicle, Electric Vehicle, Ford Smart Mobility, and V2X Security). Working within a cross functional team of other highly-skilled professionals, you will:

  • Manage and apply cyber security requirements and deliverables into IT processes and product development
  • Work with feature owners to manage the progression of each feature through development
  • Ensure security is built in to the design upfront
  • Deliver cyber security specifications and standards unique to the connected vehicle ecosystem
  • Support cyber security requirement and testing development
  • Ensure systems, features, components are designed using robust engineering processes (e.g., threat analysis, risk assessment, adoption of security requirements, security audits, vehicle ecosystem assessments, etc.)
  • Interface with external organizations on cross-functional issues related to cyber security
  • Develop and utilize global supplier expertise to meet cyber security expectations
  • Provide project status presentations to management

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or information technology
  • Three years or more with operating systems, project management, security & controls

Our preferred requirements:

  • Experience with product development organization and tools
  • Background with IT/cloud/mobile systems (hardware/software)
  • Strong communications skills to explain security requirements to development teams, product management, marketing, and senior management
  • In-depth knowledge of the technology lifecycle
  • CISSP, CEH, CISM, or other security related certifications
