The position is in the Global Security Assurance Team (GSAT) of the Cigna Information Protection (CIP) department. CIP is responsible for managing information security, including security risk management, for the organization. The GSAT team is responsible for security assurance-related activities associated to Cigna’s government, commercial and international lines of business.

The Cyber Assurance Lead Analyst role offers you the opportunity to support discretionary and recurring assessments related to security and privacy regulatory requirements. The Cyber Assurance Lead Analyst will collaborate with team members on projects such as SOC-2 reporting, asset-level compliance assessments, annual cyber maturity benchmarking analyses, and readiness “pre-assessments” for other potential certifications or emerging requirements. Team members will work closely with, and learn from, information system and control owners, infrastructure subject matter experts, system developers and project management teams.

Successful team members will demonstrate their ability to:
Facilitate and conduct control design and effectiveness testing
Develop strong relationships with IT process/control owners
Analyze recurring control weaknesses to identify root cause issues.
Lead information gathering walkthroughs in a virtual setting
Effectively communicate project status to team members and senior management
Consult with business stakeholders and enable them to make informed risk management decisions
Provide new insight and influence positive change in the control environment
Effectively manage multiple competing priorities

We are excited to hear from you if you have…

IT audit, IT risk management or IT compliance experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field or equivalent (client-facing consulting experience is a plus)
Certification in information security and/or audit (CISA, Security+, SSCP, GSEC, etc) is preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of security and regulatory control framework such as AICPA TSP-100a, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and HIPAA
Polished written and oral communication skills
Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
Experience working in large, complex IT organizations is preferred but not required

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $73,700 – $122,900, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
