About the team

We are expanding our network team to help drive the strategy and innovation around cloud, automation and security modernization. It’s an exciting time to join the team and the challenging work ahead of us. We need a motivated and highly skilled network security architect to help. In this highly visible and important role, you will report to a Director Network to work on the efforts to move US Bank forward with our cloud first strategy. You will join a highly skilled team of talented engineers and will be engaged in impactful, strategic and visible efforts to move US Bank forward.

What you will do

• Will join a highly talented team of engineers and architects engaged to move the network technologies and security efforts forward to support US Bank with on-prem and cloud environments
• Will drive architecture efforts related to network security across several teams
• Will partner with other infrastructure and application teams at an enterprise level to review and approve new architectures. Will provide detailed feedback on challenges and obstacles
• Will work closely with engineering teams on improvements for current solutions and investments
• Will ensure security controls, processes and technologies are in place to support key applications (PCI, Encryption, PKI, SSL, etc.)
• Is ready to learn new things and take on challenging asks to help move the cloud strategy and US Bank forward
• Not be afraid to fail, willing to voice an unpopular opinion, is collaborative and encourages an environment of inclusion of all voices

Basic Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 10 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.
• At least 10 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.

Preferred/skills/Experience

• Technical knowledge of network security technologies and associated architectures
• Proven experience with PCI and other regulatory activities
• Experience with automation, firewalls, load balancing and DNS
• Experience with AWS, Azure and cloud provided services (firewall, load balancing, etc.)
• Proven ability to articulate an architecture with a roadmap

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location.
