Basic Job Functions:
The BI Developer position is responsible for designing and developing modern reports and dashboards to support business decision making across the division while contributing to Nucor’s product group and enterprise strategies. This position will work closely with the NBT group to align on PowerBI best marks for Nucor. This position will be required to support the availability and performance of these visualizations to ensure a consistent and reliable BI experience. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years BI experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI based on industry standards and best practices
- Experience using DAX queries and functions in Power BI
- Experience working with creating views and schemas in Microsoft SQL and Oracle database environments
- Able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI and Microsoft SQL databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
