**This is a Philadelphia based role. Must be able to commute in the greater Philadelphia area 4 days a week in-office.

The Business Analyst. Data Operations will be responsible for the daily delivery of accurate and timely data and reports to both internal and external stakeholders. Data Operations is also responsible for all aspects of daily oversight, procurement, quality control, cleansing, enrichment of delivery of approved firm-wide data via the FS data warehouse. The role will act as a center-point and a Firm-wide driver of attribute transformation, enrichment, and quality rules in collaboration with Data Stewards. This is an incredible opportunity to shape a new program from the ground up and substantially impact the organization.

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to understand strategies and needs across business functions.
  • Leverage data operations expertise to help deliver data and reports that support business goals, measurably adds value to the company (via regular KPI reporting), and augments standard workflows (i.e., SDLC and PMLC).
  • Develop and maintain a future state program view along with a complimentary staged realization roadmap.
  • Define and implement standards, policies and workflows that govern data availability, usability, integrity, and security.
  • Help with defining CDEs, developing an attribute inventory and providing a means for discovering the lineage of each element.
  • Lead the establishment of data quality and security standards and facilitate remediation efforts where gaps exist.
  • Maintain warehouse data flow, lead process improvements and report on project status and daily data KPIs to other team and senior leadership
  • Own and manage external vendor relationships related to systems and services used as part of the program.
  • Act as a culture carrier for FS Investments values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience being a Product owner of Data platform within Financial Services.
  • Technical writing experience a plus.
  • Prior systems development and data architecture familiarity is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of data governance framework, terms, and firm-wide application.
  • Experience working in investment/asset management firms a plus but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams and key stakeholders, as well as senior leadership.
  • Ability to document technical workflows, produce business friendly documentation.
