How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture & Risk Assurance as Analyst, IT Risk Assessment, you will be involved in leading our proactive stance on compliance with regulatory requirements, cybersecurity hygiene, and enhancing our risk management strategies through innovation and automation.

  • Oversee and streamline the IT audit process from initiation to issue remediation, incorporating automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Function as a primary liaison with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance and timely treatment of audit findings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and improve IT risk management practices, facilitating regular discussions to keep remediation efforts on track.
  • Guide IT application owners in meeting compliance standards and manage all compliance documentation updates and reviews.
  • Apply critical thinking and strategic problem-solving to support decision-making and foster quality outcomes across diverse teams.

The Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of experience in project management, demonstrating a keen interest in IT Risk Management and a propensity for quick learning.
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities, with a focus on automation, system improvement, and business analysis.
  • An analytical thinker with a continuously improving mindset, eager to learn, and adaptable to new initiatives.
  • Commitment to enhancing user experience and driving Ciena’s success through innovative risk management strategies.

Assets:

  • Knowledge or experience in regulatory compliance standards a plus
  • Experience in data analysis and report building a plus
