Dow has an opportunity for an Active Directory Analyst located in Midland, Michigan.

About You

As the Active Directory Analyst, you will be part of the Information Security Services (ISS) team, and will work under the general direction of the ISS Foundational Services Director. Your responsibilities will include performing activities related to operating systems, hosts, virtual machines, Active Directory and Azure Active Directory security and services. You will also be responsible for system health, monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting of the systems as well as leveraging optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate reliably and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

  • Builds, maintains and support Active Directory, Microsoft Hyper-V, SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM, etc.
  • Ensures that Active Directory system and its toolsets operate reliably and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves IT service issues and assists in troubleshooting and resolving application related issues.
  • Develop/maintain recovery plan and perform system recovery during disaster exercises or outage.
  • Develop robust monitoring and self-healing automation.
  • Leverages optimization techniques to maximize the efficiency of all computer systems.
  • Works with third-party vendors and consultants on developing system-specific skills.
  • On-call support is required.

Required qualifications:

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher.
    • A minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience.
    • Prior Windows Administration experience.

Your preferred qualifications include:

  • Administering Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019. Also Windows 10 Desktop Operating systems.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (e.g. DNS, Protocols, Firewall, Routing).
  • Understanding of Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Understanding of Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
  • Understanding of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Understanding of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
  • Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management.
  • Active Directory Forest/Domain, Trust, Group Policy and Authentication methods.
  • Familiar with cloud such as Azure AD, ADFS, SAML/OAuth, MFA, etc.

  • Can anticipate risks and mitigate in the moment.
  • Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Relocation assistance is not available with this position.

  • This role is a hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the office.
