Job Summary
- Farmers Life is looking for an IT Configuration Management Specialist Technical who will be responsible for configuring applications using modern Devops tools and techniques. Responsibilities include documenting install procedures and environment configurations via code, developing repeatable software installation scripts that allow commercial software updates to be consistently installed with high speed and accuracy, improving the quality of software health monitoring, and building tools to consolidate status of applications and logs to assist teams in accelerating delivery. The projects include platform migrations, software upgrades, security projects, implementing new workflow tools, deploying software patches, and improving performance and reliability for services provided by Farmers Life to our internal and external customers.
- The ideal candidate has strong analysis skills, is organized, builds strong relationships, has an eye for details. Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize, design, and build software configuration tools that can be leveraged by others while being able to translate the activities into concepts that non-technical users can relate to.
- The candidate must demonstrate a history of delivering efficiencies via automation, must be able to work independently and as part of a team. In addition to building shared tools, the Configuration Management Specialist will ensure processes and standards are in place to ensure work and quality meets the required standards.

- 3 – 5 years’ experience as a network or systems administrator with cloud experience.

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience or certifications

- Level I: 1 years experience in application development/testing or system analysis role Level II: 3 years of experience in application development/testing or system analysis or 1 year as an CM Specialist Level I Level III: 4 years of experience in application development/testing or system analysis or 1 year as an CM Specialist Level Il Level IV: 5 years of experience in application development/testing or system analysis or 1 year as an CM Specialist Level Ill
