Where You’ll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Applied Thin-Film Products is currently seeking a full-time System Analyst responsible for general duties in the Information Technology Department. This include provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. Will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and partners to effectively deliver services to customers. This individual is accountable for Windows desktop and laptop systems, Windows servers, telephones, network-connected printers, and other devices. The Systems Analyst will be a part of the team within the Information Technology Department and is expected to provide input into system and process improvements.

How You’ll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

  • Installing and configuring desktops and laptops for users, applying updates and upgrades, installing software.
  • Compliance with established standards and procedures for systems installation and configuration. Contribute to and maintain departmental standards for deployment.
  • End-user support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues; providing training to users as needed.
  • Monitoring of data backups and performing restores as needed, monitoring system availability and performance.
  • Work with the Global Servicedesk to provide effective end-user support.
  • Maintain compliance with ITSM standards, meet relevant SLAs and KPIs, and ensure accuracy of the asset database. Ensure reduction of vulnerabilities to improve system and network security
  • Work with other IT team members, local and remote to support Global and Regional projects.
  • Since the technology field is ever-changing, the Systems Analyst is expected to participate in learning opportunities as they become available. In addition, the incumbent is expected to demonstrate growth and development.

Experience You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years of System Administration experience with Microsoft client & server operating systems required.
  • Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, Sharepoint and Group Policy Management strongly preferred.
  • Experience with network storage systems and VMware, and Linux preferred
  • Able to quickly build and maintain rapport with staff members of differing backgrounds.
  • Must be approachable and effective with ability to influence change across all levels of the organization in an effective manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, advanced computer skills (ie., Word, Excel).
  • Well organized, systematic, demonstrates initiative and a strong customer-service orientation.
  • Consistently maintains ethical behaviors exemplary of quality public service and fair standards, inclusively, among all employees and members of the public.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member; function independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative; be flexible to shift priorities; maintain confidentiality.
