IT Security Analyst

Job Description:

The IT Security Analyst will gain hands-on experience in a wide range of security technologies, tools and methodologies.   Though this role will focus on IT Security Incident Management and Architecture, responsibilities will include assisting in maintaining and utilizing various security platforms and solutions.  The focus on Security Incident Management will include assisting in the development of processes, thresholds, and escalation paths for security related events.   The IT Security Analyst will assist with identification, evaluation, selection, design, implementation, and optimization of new Information Security initiatives that will ensure proprietary and confidential data and systems are protected.  Other requirements include maintaining technical tools and executing periodic system and environment threat and vulnerability scans, performing occasional penetration and web application security assessment activities, and performing security operations center activities around logging, monitoring and incident escalation.    This role allows the individual to gain expertise in various security tools, applications, and best practices.
