What you will be doing

The Software Engineer develops advanced applications and enhancement, systems interfaces and is responsible for the full software development life cycle.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Managing the full software development life cycle including conception, requirements analysis, specification design, coding, acceptance, testing, implementation and training

-Participating in technical design, testing and prioritizing components to facilitate the development of new systems or technical solutions

-Utilizing industry-standard architecture, procedures, best practices and techniques

-Providing timely and high-quality information including custom reports, downloaded files and other products

-Managing and maintaining content management systems using vendor software, including templating and workflow configuration.

-Developing, configuring and maintaining web applications in support of Ohio National website functionality.

-Develop and support CI/CD tools, processes and procedures.

What you need to be successful

-A bachelor’s degree or relevant business experience

-At least five years of experience as a Software Engineer

-Excellent written and oral communication

-Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms

-In-depth knowledge of the following:

-REST service development utilizing Spring, SpringBoot, and Spring Security

-ReactJS related front-end development technologies.

-Awareness of the following platforms is helpful:

-Sitecore Content Management

-Azure DevOps and Jenkins CI/CD platforms

-Experience in developing web applications and screens in compliance with accessibility standards

-Experience with Agile development principles and methodology

-Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins automation

What your work environment will look like

-Work from home with company-provided equipment

-Utilize Microsoft Teams and Zoom

-Keep updated with what is going on with the company through emails, podcasts, videos, etc.
