PURPOSE:

The IBM Power Systems Security Administrator will assist with system design, develop and maintain the corporate IBM i Security standards while understanding and follow SOX regulations and best practices. The Security Administrator will need to know systems programming (CLP) and provide second level help desk support on OS and JDE World application security issues. This position will provide strategic level of technical leadership in security solutions and design and related activities. The Administrator will understand the Berry Code of Business Ethics and comply with its requirements.

The position requires the ability to understand and articulate the big picture of IBM i security and operating environment, and provide technical solution to possibly complex business issues. The IBM i Security Administrator should have technical experience and background in manufacturing and shop floor disciplines and working functional knowledge in the following areas: CL Programming, and the IBM i operating system greater than or equal to V7R3M0, Enforcive, DB2 objects, SST, HTTP server, ACS and JDE World ERP system experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and enforce IBM system security policies.
  • Maintain and enforce security user access on the IBM Power Systems platform.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of Power Systems security documentation and solutions.
  • Monitoring and report system activities using the Enforcive security tool.
  • Maintain, know and follow SOX security and operations best practices.
  • Provide backup to the IBM Power Systems Administration Team when needed.
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions for security solutions, design and implementation.
  • Improving/Optimizing existing Berry Global security standards and processes.
  • Working closely with various Teams/Departments to accomplish security issues.
  • Provide Level 2 help desk support for IBM Power System issues.
  • Producing proper documentation for all deliverables.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with the Berry Global Business Ethics and Standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or formal IBM Power Systems technical education required or related training.
  • Five or more years’ experience working with iSeries/IBM i security.
  • Experience with Enforcive and IBM i OS Security.
  • Experience with Control Language Programming (CLP). SQL is a big plus.
  • Working knowledge of JDE World security would be an additional advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong accountability for completion of goals and objectives
  • Ability and accountability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills but still able to seek assistance from other functional experts as needed
  • Strong project management experience would be a plus.
  • Travel required for training and/or data center work.
