Senior Information Security Engineer – Cloud applies expertise in cloud architecture and automation best practices to enable our teams to produce the best products as securely as possible. The Information Security Engineering team at O’Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for providing technical guidance to the business to ensure solutions are implemented and maintained in a manner that promotes security best practices.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Act as a subject matter expert in cloud security to provide direction on process, projects, and issues related to cloud development and infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify/present and provide guidance on remediating security issues identified in cloud environments.
  • Play an integral role in developing the future-state of the cloud security roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Development and Operations teams to enable them to perform their duties in a manner that follows security best practices.
  • Contribute to the security tooling and automation projects to ease the adoption of cloud technologies and services.
  • Work with the Security Operations Center as a point of escalation for any incidents relating to cloud environments.
  • Willingness to work on-call rotation including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Other related duties to support the information security function.
Skills and Qualifications: 
Required: 
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of broad experience in Information Security, experience supporting security components and applying security best practices across an enterprise application/network infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of experience automating and implementing cloud platforms, ideally related to compliance and security.
  • Experience completing large, complex projects.
  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
  • Operational knowledge of programming languages and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Java, JavaScript, Bash).
Desired: 
  • In-depth automation experience, specifically integrating data sets between security tools.
