Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

• Anticipates and identifies customer needs and matches products and services to facilitate the fulfillment of those needs.
• Application and platform security design and integration with core security technology.
• Collaborates with the technical teams to ensure that the results of projects fully satisfy the needs embodied in the requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and privacy laws
• Security automation for testing, identity, cloud, secure configuration baseline monitoring.
• Providing technical support on information security policies, principles, standards, and procedures.
• Reviewing and implementing security products and plans by conducting security and vulnerability assessments.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment.

Experience

• 3 years – Experience as an information security engineer or in related field required

Skills/Certifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint)
• Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proven organizational, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

Job Specific Requirements:

Preferred skils:

• Experience with REST and SOAP web services
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Cloud computing experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
• Software development experience in at least one language used at BCBST, Java or C#
• Strong debugging skills with web technologies
• Strong networking skills

Strongly Desired Experience:

• Security Network experience
• 3+ years experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proficiency with script languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Node.js
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Operational use of Linux and Windows Server
• Automation tools such as Ansible
