PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Data Integration Manager is a senior-level technical position that will play a technical leadership role in defining the direction and implementing the major transformational data-related projects at the Alliance. The Data Integration Manager will work with the leaders of all data architecture solution, oversee data modeling and data integration projects. The Data Integration Manager will be responsible for data integration functions and engaging with information / data management projects for the business ensuring their successful execution and continued alignment to the Alliance’s architecture and data management direction.
Principal responsibilities include:
- Accountable for gathering business requirements, design, develop and implementation of all data integration and data transformation projects.
- Champion the effort to establish, define, maintain, and communicate data architecture reference architectures, guidelines, standards and best practices to maintain a high-level of data integrity within the Alliance.
- Provide technical leadership for solution architecture development and review with regard to data integration architecture design and implementation for all initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts and data subject matter experts to ensure the Alliance data model will properly support business needs.
- Work closely with project teams to develop data models that support business processes
- Manage team activities ensuring deliverables and timelines are met while allowing autonomy by individual contributors.
- Have a Deep understanding of project methodologies, including agile and SCRUM.
- Ensure proper communication process is established and facilitate team collaboration.
- Ensure timely communications around Project status, Team performance and resolve conflicts within teams.
- Conduct performance appraisal and goal reviews. Establish goals and build a high-performance team and mentor team members.
- Build and present staffing plans and provide insight into utilization and demand forecast based on demand in-takes.
- Ensure that industry-wide security standards are properly implemented. Collaborate closely with other solution architects to define and implement effective and efficient solutions to business challenges and opportunities.
- Work closely with database administration and ETL teams to establish and maintain highly resilient, scalable and high-performance architecture as the model is implemented physically on the target platform(s).
- Develop and maintain a technical roadmap and investment plan for the evolution of enterprise data
- Evaluate user needs and system functionality to confirm that systems meet the needs of individuals and projects.
- Data stewardship responsibilities:
- Ensure that project management and software development methodologies include the steps, activities, and deliverables required to achieve high quality data.
- Ensure that new systems and/or applications adhere to existing data management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Devise, coordinate, and conduct mass data-cleansing initiatives for the purpose of purging and eliminating corrupt or redundant information from corporate databases.
- Identify causes of poor data quality, implement solutions and communicate findings to employees, management, and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the system architects to develop methods for synchronizing data entering company systems from multiple points.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required.
- Masters preferred.
MINIMUM YEARS OF ADDITIONAL RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years computer systems analysis, consulting, and IT management experience.
- Minimum five years ETL experience, including data mapping, loading and validating processes and architecture experience
- Minimum three years’ experience as a data steward or similar role ensuring common business data normalization and prioritization.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE):
- Working knowledge of database and data warehouse technologies.
- Working knowledge Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
- Extensive experience with data quality management, metadata management and data architecture standardization, master data management and data dictionaries.
- Thorough understanding of physical database design including triggers, stored procedures, constraints, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of and experience with database administration.
- A team player that can be creative and eager to learn!
- Expert-level systems and data analysis skills required.
- Expertise in business intelligence, including knowledge of balanced scorecards, key performance, and key result indicators.
- Business process engineering and modeling.
- Ability to lead a team of analysts, developers, and DBA’s.
- Deep software development experience, including design, quality assurance, and configuration management.
- Experience with multiple RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to communicate highly complex information to both technical and business audiences and manage client expectations.
- Ability to identify new service opportunities within customer base.
- Ability to resolve complex issues, facilitate discussions and drive toward quick decisions.
- Experience gathering data, soliciting information and synthesizing feedback.
