Functions Include But Are Not Limited To

  • As the Cybersecurity Lead (IAM III) you shall have an understanding of SCN mission critical aspects of Government risk management and DoD space programs and projects.
  • The Cybersecurity Lead shall lead and perform all functional duties, even of the lower labor categories, perform as the cybersecurity task lead and require no immediate training.
  • The Cybersecurity Lead shall have appropriate certifications and easily transition between requirements without the need for Government oversight.
  • The Cybersecurity Lead shall apply knowledge of cyber policy, procedures, and workforce structure to develop, implement, and maintain a secure enclave environment.
  • The Cybersecurity Lead shall have deep knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air and Space Force, Space Command, processes and procedures as it relates to their functional responsibility and speak and write Air and Space Force and Space Acquisition terminology appropriately.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish enclave security related goals. Ensure that protection and detection capabilities are acquired or developed using the IS security engineering approach and are consistent with DoD Component level cyber architecture.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of cyber certification and accreditation documentation.
  • Evaluate technical solutions to determine if proposed security solutions effectively address enclave requirements, Identify IT security program implications of new technologies or technology upgrades.
  • Interpret security requirements relative to the capabilities of new information technologies. Interpret patterns of non-compliance to determine their impact on levels of risk and overall effectiveness of the enclave’s cyber security posture.
  • Analyze identified security strategies and select the best approach or practice for the enclave.
  • Ensure that security related provisions of the system acquisition documents meet all identified security needs.
  • Evaluate development efforts to ensure that baseline security safeguards are appropriately installed.
  • Evaluate the presence and adequacy of security measures proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents.
  • Take action as needed to ensure that accepted products meet Common Criteria requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the enclaves’ cyber security procedures and safeguards and shall ensure the level of protection requested by the Government.

Required Experience

  • Minimum ten (10) years relevant experience performing configuration and data management activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support or development Contractor arena.
  • Experience shall include duties or assignments specifically in support of Space acquisition programs planning, documenting, and resolving cybersecurity issues on an Acquisition Category III level software and hardware program.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience providing a cybersecurity lead role for a relevant effort with an approved IAM Level III Certification per DODD 8140.01 and/or DOD 8570.01M.

Education RequirementsBachelor degree from an accredited college or university relevant to their area of expertise limited to the following: Cyber Security, Computer Science, Programming, Forensics, Database Management, Computer Hardware Engineering, Network Administration, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Information Security & Assurance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering Management.Journeyman level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the use of an electronic government authorized information management system, collaboration portal, or integrated data environment (IDE).

Certification Requirements

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC).
  • Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO).

Clearance RequirementsActive TS/SCI clearance.U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Compensation: The starting salary for this position ranges from $144,039 – $175,937 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
