The Cyber Security Architect is responsible for the design, planning and ongoing development of 7-Eleven’s Enterprise Architectures assuring alignment between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions across all business domains.
The role will deliver strategic direction and planning activities that enable delivery of enterprise architectures with a focus on adherence regulatory compliance, resilience and the evolution of security controls commensurate with the mission critical function of the organisation. You will be involved in projects, vendor security assessments, vulnerability assessments, risk management, technology resilience and compliance activities.
We need you to:
- Supporting the development of the organisation’s Information Security management System (ISMS).
- Coaching and influencing stakeholders in different areas of the business to improve cyber security outcomes.
- Provide expertise, leadership, guidance and support to technical and business project teams in the development, communication and full lifecycle management of enterprise aligned cyber security architectures
- Providing training, guidance, governance and information tools to support effective security architecture such as policies, processes, application references models, guidelines and artefacts.
- Develop security tooling strategies for Cyber Security services and work closely with Cyber Security, OT and ICT Strategy and Architecture to progress the strategy.
- Promoting a proactive focus on security architecture through early intervention in technology project lifecycles; ensuring projects maintain an enterprise-wide view.
- Managing complex security risks including those presented via incidents, investigations and remediation actions.
- Defining and managing the Cyber Security Architecture roadmap and blueprints.
What’s in your toolkit
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (eg computer science or IT degree), industry certifications (eg CISM, CISSP, TOGAF, GIAC) and/or relevant industry experience;
- Significant experience in developing, communicating and maintaining cyber security architectures, roadmaps, policies and standards;
- Experience in shaping and driving the security design and deployment of major ICT transformation programs from a cyber security perspective, including (but not limited to): network security architecture, cloud security and resilience architecture, threat and vulnerability management, centralised logging and threat correlation;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence other senior technical and business staff, without these people being direct reports;
- High level written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to affect change through technical leadership;
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment;
